This video shows the making of wooden hanging with one of the easiest ways. I make this wooden stylish wooden hanging at home easily and decorate with the variety things that give fabulous look to my room. You can also make it by using basic tools like wood cutters, hammer, drill and measuring tape. I made it at home for my creativity in easy steps. It is actually very easy and interesting to make. Whatever type of sander you use, you’ll be using sandpaper. Most sandpaper is aluminum-oxide and comes in different grits. The grit is a measure how fine it is and will determine what you’re using it for. Grits typically range from about 20 to 1000, 20 being extremely course and 1000 being extremely fine. When sanding, if you have a lot of material to remove and really need to smooth things out, a low or course grit will be best. Once you’ve sanded with the coarse grit move to a finer grit, typically up around 200 for finishing.

Another way to customize the look of your table is with the top shape.  In addition to traditional rectangular and round table tops, we also offer oval and racetrack tops.  What’s that?  A racetrack table top has curved ends and straight sides whereas an oval top is curved on all sides.  As with table bases, it is important to consider form with functionality!  In addition to shape and size, all of our table tops come in standard (about 1″), thick (about 1.5- 1.75″) and extra thick (+2″) thicknesses.  Do you need an extra large table, a very narrow table or an odd shape?  All of table lengths, widths and shapes are customizable.  Just ask us if you don’t see the exact size you are looking for!

The table top was then sealed with multiple coats of Varathane for protection.   We chose not to add a stain to the top because its natural coloring is gorgeous already.  There are shades of browns and grays in the wood along with saw marks from the original milling, knots, and grooves that you would come to expect from a reclaimed barn wood table.

This may be my longest post to date. But also the largest project, and I have to admit that the work itself was done by my husband and I was merely his helper.  We decided to build a farm table using reclaimed barn wood from scratch. Our first stop was to an awesome secret spot, secret because I’ve been forbidden from sharing its location, to pick out the wood. It’s really no secret, its located in New Jersey. Go ahead and google, it’s easy to find *wink* This place had a huge selection of slabs, doors, and everything wood.  Most of the wood comes from salvaged barns in Ohio! 

Making a garden arched footbridge out of some wood boards can be fun, hard working plan and also it’s quite rewarding. If you take your hands of work and have some basic woodworking skills you can easily build this type of bridge. While this garden bridge is too small to walk over but it can make a really stunning addition to your lush yard or garden.

A good tool to get next is some sort of circular saw. A circular saw cuts a lot faster than a jigsaw, and it's easier to make a straighter cleaner cut with it. It's also a very useful tool for cutting up big sheets of plywood, even if you already have a table saw. At this point, you have enough tools for some simple projects such as this table or some storage shelving

All you need are 3 pieces of wood of your choice (though we must admit natural hardwoods will look incredible), sanding block, clamps, wood glue and finishing product. The hardest step of the whole tutorial is measuring – as always, measure 9 times, cut once! You wouldn’t want to finish your project and then realize it doesn’t have enough space to fit your DVD player, would you?}

This table is designed to be gorgeous. The table might look challenging to build, but if you follow the plan, it is very easy. If you check Step 1, you will find that cutting the joints can be done quickly and a 4 x 4 X-leg can be built with lap joint. This provides stability and durability. Moreover, the herringbone top makes the table even more beautiful.

Cordless tools are very handy, and I love my cordless drills. However, if you are just dabbling with getting into woodworking, and you may only use your tools every six months, you may find the litium batteries dying prematurely. Litium batteries slowly self-discharge, and once fully discharged, they are permanently damaged. So if, for example, you use a cordless drill until the battery is low, put it away without recharging, and try to charge it again months later, you may find the battery no longer able to take a charge.
